If you are eligible for workers ’ compensation, you will be provided replacement income, rehabilitation, and medical expenses. You may not be covered 100%, but a good majority will be covered.

If you are unable to work, you will receive approximately 2/3 of your income. These payments are tax-free. This will kick in after you have had to miss a few days of work due to a work related injury and illness.

Some people become injured to the point that they can no longer work. These people may be eligible for long-term benefits. What you are paid will depend on the extent of your injuries. If your disability is permanent, you will want to contact workers’ compensation right away. Because long-term benefits are complex, the may take awhile to be processed.
